In his one-man play “Killing the Mosquito”, Kosovar poet and writer Xhevdet Bajraj tells the destructive effects of the inhumane interventions in society by those in power in Kosovo through the story of the character Adam. In the play, Adam, who is ostracized by his wife, society, the law and the government, and whose only friend, his dogs, are also killed, questions not only Kosovo, but also the whole world, humanity, religion, politics, the legal system as a result of the loss of his freedom, and since he cannot be as free as mosquitoes, he longs for them to be able to fly, is conveyed through the ironic and poetic language of the author.
