An ordinary day on the shore of Marmara… The horizon is hazy, the water heavy and tired; even the smell carried by the wind seems to have changed for a long time. A small encounter that begins with a child’s innocent curiosity soon draws the reader into a bigger problem: When did things we are used to ignoring become “normal”?

This short story questions man’s relationship with nature through the details of the sea, the shore and everyday life in a quiet yet jarring language. With a narrative that says a lot in few sentences, he aims for the feeling that remains in the reader: a disturbing awareness, a belated conscience and a sense of responsibility that we easily forget.
